Play Tokyo Jungle on Your Vita Today

Tokyo Jungle arrived on the PlayStation Network in September and brought Pomeranian-slaying, animal mating and surviving in a post-human Tokyo to life. Sadly, the game was only available on PlayStation 3 and left Vita owners out in the cold.
While there’s still no Vita version of the title, PlayStation pushed a patch live late last night that allows you to play Tokyo Jungle on the Vita via Remote Play. If you’re unfamiliar with this PlayStation option, Remote Play allows you to stream content from your PS3 to your Vita – whether via WiFi (if you’re out of the house) or a private connection (if your Vita and PS3 are in the same place).

However, President of Sony Worldwide Studios and IGN Podcast Beyond Super-Fan Shuhei Yoshida recommends players only Remote Play Tokyo Jungle at home.

When you start Tokyo Jungle on your PS3, you download the patch that allows Remote Play. After that, you can use Remote Play on the Vita to dial into the PS3 and play to your heart's content -- just pair the devices beforehand via the onscreen instructions.
In our extremely brief test on a private connection, Tokyo Jungle seemed to run decently and there wasn't an issue in terms of input lag. The framerate could've been better, however.
