If you've been enjoying Fire Emblem: Awakening, Nintendo just gave you a few new reasons to revisit the Outrealm Gate.
During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, it was announced that the Pocket Gamer Platinum Award-winning strategy RPG would receive two new DLC maps for players to purchase.
The first of these maps, Champions of Yore 3, will cost $2.50 and features the same battlefield as the first Champions of Yore map.
Despite the reused terrain, Champions of Yore 3 will feature a new storyline and give players the chance to recruit Micaiah from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and learn a new skill - All Stats +2 - to boot.
Gaffe it up
The second Map to be added today, The Golden Gaffe, is the first in a new trio of maps that focuses on upgrading your characters. It won't offer new characters to recruit, but will instead reward players with piles of gold.
Golden Gaffe costs $2.50 on its own, but - similar to the Champions of Yore pack - players can download the entire bundle for $6.00.
The second and third maps of the bundle, EXPonential Growth and Infinite Regalia, will be available at a later time.
Finally, if you haven’t downloaded Champions of Yore 1 yet you may want to head over to the Outrealm Gate and do so before March 6.
After this date, the map will no longer be free and will instead cost $2.50. On that same date, the bundled Champions Pack will jump from $4.00 to $6.00.
The two new maps are currently available for download via the in-game Outrealm hub.
European gamers will need to hold on a little bit longer. Fire Emblem Awakening will be released on the other side of the Atlantic on April 19th.
