A single image of an unannounced Ubisoft project named Assassin's Creed: Rising Phoenix has just surfaced on the murky waters of the World Wide Web.
In the image - posted below - a CG environment is illuminated by the logo of the Erudito Collective in the background.
The text on the image, meanwhile, refers to Ubisoft Digital Arts, who previously worked on Assassin's Creed 2 tie-in Assassin's Creed: Lineage.
Naturally, we know absolutely nothing about this upcoming project other than its name. It could be a new game. It could be some kind of spin-off. We... just... don't... know.
If we had to venture a guess, though, we'd gamble out last fiver on it being another portable title for Sony's PS Vita or - less likely - Nintendo's 3DS.
Why? Well, Ubisoft recently announced Assassin's Creed: Black Flag for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC.
It seems pretty unlikely, then, that the French developer and publisher would be working on two home console games set in the Assassin's Creed universe at the same time.
We'll let you know as soon as more details are revealed.
