Velocity Ultra Announced For PS Vita

FuturLab has announced Velocity Ultra, a native Vita version of its highly praised PS Minis game Velocity, more details inside.....

Featuring a "completely overhauled" visual style, Trophies and online leaderboards, FuturLab MD James Marsden says it can be thought of "as the director's cut; everything we would have done the first time around if we'd had the budget".

While there's no solid release date, the studio's "on track to submit to Sony at the beginning of April, so we are guesstimating a release date in May".

For those hoping for a sequel to the original, Marsden added: "Velocity Ultra is a way for us to establish the Velocity franchise with a wider audience, and we've got plenty more Velocity in the works.

"In fact, we've just published a Velocity Sequel Questionnaire to find out what you want to see in a sequel. If you fill it out, you could win a copy of Velocity Ultra.

"Edge described the original as "a new standard bearer" for PS Minis in its 9/10 Velocity review.

Star Fox 3DS (in 3d)

Starfox 3ds 238x300 Star Fox 3DS (in 3d)Star Fox 64 returns us to familiar landscapes and battles, but in 3D these take on new substance and seem more real than ever.
Star Fox 64 3D revisits the classic Nintendo 64 version of the game. For those who remember the original it is instantly recognisable. The game takes in the familiar landscape of the original from oceans and hills to the iconic ravines of Corneria City.
You control the Arwing ship via the 3DS’s Analogue nub calling on special moves via the D-pad. Bombs and lasers as well as acceleration and braking are mapped to the other face buttons. This leaves the Left/Right Triggers for banking and rolling.
Depth has been accentuated throughout to take advantage of the 3DS’s 3D display on the top screen. Something about the constant movement of Star Fox 64 seems to increase the sense of a 3D world.
Loks totally awesome, and the perfect game for a 3D platform
Like Zelda Ocarina of Time on the 3DS, this is a remake rather than a new game and possibly a quick easy win for Nintendo. That said though, there has been considerable attention to detail, both in the user interface and new textures that have been added to create an experience that still feels fresh.
No release date has been announced for Star Fox 64 3D,

Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS

residentevil revelations 3ds Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS
Capcom announced that Resident Evil: Revelations, the 3DS survival horror game, uses the same MT Framework engine that powers console games like Lost Planet 2 and Resident Evil 5. According to Capcom, the engine delivers stereoscopic visuals and “graphical quality comparable to consoles.”
The trailer’s not showing much in the way of gameplay, but the cutscenes look pretty cool. Zombies on a cruise ship during a nasty hurricane. That actually sounds like a promising idea.

Ridge Racer 3DS

Namco-Bandai’s premiere racing franchise is making its way onto the 3DS. Looking similar to the PSP version but with (of course) 3d cars
ridge3ds Ridge Racer 3DSRidge Racer 3ds Ridge Racer 3DS
Just in case you are not aware of what ridge races is? (in which case frankly you have been living under a gaming rock the last 7 years), Ridge Racer is a series of arcade racing games developed and published by Namco for both the arcade and various consoles.
Ridge Racer uses tracks which take place in the fictional city of Ridge City. Ridge City contains varied landscapes such as cities, beaches, woods, and mountains. Ridge City is located in Ridge State, whose location is unknown.
The actual scope of Ridge city has changed over the series, adding new tracks all the time. However, The City still retains the original course from Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer 2. In some of the earlier games, all of the tracks share the same starting line and finish line, but open or close off different parts of the track to yield a different course, with the gameplay itself often focusing on drift racing.
The soundtrack predominantly features fairly up-beattechno music composed by Namco in-house artists. Most of the games use Reiko Nagase as a mascot, and many feature Full Motion Video sequences by Kei Yoshimizu from Keica inc.

Mario Cart 3DS

Ah 3D mario cart, there is a god, taken from the truly balanced report of the official Nintendo magazine “Is it the best Mario Kart game ever?”.
In a nod to the very first Super Mario Kart, the characters will now glance at their rivals as they pass by–a neat touch.
MarioKart 3ds e3 Mario Cart 3DS
Go-Karts were the only vehicle on display; whether or not the motorcycles from Mario kart Wii return remain to be seen.
Power-sliding is back, and seems to function similar to Mario Kart DS, as opposed to the time-based Wii version.
the bats are back.
First introduced in Mario Kart 64’s Banshee Boardwalk, they saw their return in Mario Kart Wii’s Wario’s Gold Mine, and were seen fluttering around the 3DS’s “cliff side” level.
How does the 3D feel on a handheld?
So the 3D, And yes, it works beautifully. Nintendo is almost certain to have used an off-the-shelf lenticular screen technology, already seen in several mobile phones and laptops.

You can perceive 3D only if the console is directly in front of you, but this is fine for handheld gaming. I actually found it pretty adaptable in terms of viewing from different vertical positions.

ATV Wild Ride 3D To Be The First Racing Game For Nintendo eShop On 3DS

ATV Wild Ride 3D To Be The First Racing Game For Nintendo eShop On 3DSMutant Mudds developer Renegade Kid’s upcoming racing game, ATV Wild Ride 3D, features online multiplayer, online ranking and 3D visuals.
Although it will be a download-only title, Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham says ATV Wild Ride 3D is a “retail-quality” game.
The game will be released in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS.
What’s new in ATV Wild Ride 3D? What can you do on the 3DS that you couldn’t on the Nintendo DS with the previous ATV Wild Ride game?
One of the big new additions to ATV Wild Ride 3D is online multiplayer and on-line ranking; to determine who is the best Wild Rider in the world. Online racing without ranking seems a little empty, so we’re hoping the worldwide ranking provides a sense of competition that brings players back to the game.
On the cosmetic side, we have spent a lot of time and effort overhauling, well, pretty much everything really including, higher resolution textures, real-time lighting and shadows, specular highlights, mip-mapping, suspension physics, new engine sounds and higher quality audio across the board.
And, it is in 3D of course, which looks fantastic!
