Introducing the New Legendary Pokemon

Following on from yesterday's announcement that Pokemon X and Y will be unleashed upon the world in October, Nintendo has released the names of the legendary Pokemon from the games' trailer into the wild.
First up is the winged bird-monster, Yveltal, which we're guessing is the mascot for Pokemon Y given the fact that...well, it looks exactly like the letter Y.

Alongside this is the X-shaped deer-monster, Xerneas, which we reckon is the mascot for Pokemon X, for obvious reasons.

Now, before we all start arguing about how on Earth those names are pronounced, you'll be pleased to know Nintendo has pre-empted the bevy of arguments and released a phonetic guide to the names. Though it still seems like a bit of a tongue-twister, you've been gazing on ee-VELL-tawl and ZURR-nee-us respectively.
Sadly that's all we've got to go on for now, but if your Pokemon appetite has yet to be quenched then be sure to check out our compendium of everything we know about Pokemon X and Y so far.
