Sound Shapes sounds off with new update featuring free and paid content

It's time to slip on your headphones and get lost in the music - the Bronze Award-winning rhythm platformer Sounds Shapes released an update that's sure to rock your Vita.

The first feature in the update is a new offline mode that allows you to play a level created by a member of the Sound Shapescommunity when not connected to the network.

In order to manage this musical miracle, just connect to a game server, tap a button, and sync the level to your Vita. From that point on, you can play your favourite Sound Shapes level whenever and wherever you want.

Pay nothing, get something

Also included in the update is a collection of new levels dubbed The Milkcrate.

Featuring 35 eclectic stages created by members of the Sound Shapes community, The Milkcrate mixes these levels into six new albums that will be automatically added for the just-right price of "free".

If you're not opposed to paid DLC, Sound Shapes is also making a Car Mini-Album & Creator Pack available for $1.99 / £1.49. This DLC introduces new level editor entries and a new vehicle (the, um, car) that allows you to flip, jump, and loop your way through a level.

Finally, for the trophy hunters out there, the update also features new Sound Shapestrophies to collect.
