Acclaimed physics-puzzler Q.U.B.E. 'quite possibly' heading to PS Vita

Cube-based first-person physics-puzzler Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion) could be on its way to PS Vita.

The topic was broached when Toxic Games, the UK-based indie responsible for the minimalist block-bothering PC title, posted an image ofQ.U.B.E. running on a Wii U.

Among the congratulatory tweets issued in response to the pic (one of which was from Minecraft mastermind Notch), was an inquiry asking whether a PS Vita port was on the cards.

The reply: "Quite possibly!"

This isn't the first time that Q.U.B.E. has been mentioned in the same sentence as a mobile platform.

Last January, for instance, we reported that Toxic was working on an iOS prototype of its highly rated cube-commanding title.

Though an App Store version of the game has yet to materialise, we're heartened by the possibility of a Vita port of Q.U.B.E.

Given the nature of the game itself - you must escape a maze by manipulating coloured blocks with different properties - we thinkQ.U.B.E. would be perfectly suited to the Vita's robust dual analogue sticks.

Responding to another tweet in January about Q.U.B.E.'s Vita prospects, Toxic wrote: "It's not our focus right now, but it's certainly something we'll consider doing once the PSN version is out."
